I am just a student who just got in college.
I stumbled on machine learning when I was making a small project with OpenCV. It was love at first sight for me.
Now I want to learn machine learning from its very basics. In order to understand those, I have started to learn mathematics which is required. I have started with vectors, then I plan to learn calculus and probability as well.
To be honest I have tried coding myself using “black boxes” or “libraries” whatever we want to call those. The results were truly amazing. But I didn’t actually understand what was going on behind the scenes. So, I have chosen this hard path.
I would highly recommend people to start with the basics if you are interested in learning machine learning. Don’t just jump to the coding. In the beginning, you will feel that you have become “Andrew Ng” or “Sebastian Thrun” (They are the GODS in this field) but later you will understand that you haven’t learned the real stuff.
In future, I am interested in writing various research papers on machine learning and applying machine learning to solve our real-world problems. In fact, that’s one of the reasons why I am learning it.
And I LOVE JAPAN and the Japanese culture. I want to complete my Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo.
